Its objectives are to make available the highest standards of anaesthesia, pain treatment, trauma management and resuscitation to all peoples of the world and to disseminate the same amongst them. WFSA has a strong track-record in supporting education and currently funds more than 20 educational programmes per year. It has established anaesthetic training centres in more than 15 countries around world, often in conjunction with major bodies such as the WHO (World Health Organisation). WFSA additionally promotes the Primary Trauma Course, a course adapted to less affl uent countries and courses on the Maintenance and Repair of Essential Anaesthesia Equipment in Africa. www.anaesthesiologists.org   The Executive Committee The Executive Committee comprises President, Secretary, Treasurer and 12 elected members representing the following geographical groupings.
