Hush! What’s that sound? That rumble in the jungle? It’s Mosi-oa-Tunya, the "smoke that thunders"… Mosi-oa-Tunya – Anglicized in 1855 by David Livingstone who named the thunderous mass of cascading water after Queen Victoria – is the world’s largest and most magnificent series of falls. You’ll be there in March – the green season – so the mighty Zambezi will be in full force. You’ll feel the spray from afar, and watch the mist that rises over 400 metres. At full moon, you can se a "moonbow" in the spray, a moment you’ll treasure forever. Your base will be the nearby 3-star hotel, The Zambezi Sun. Acknowledging its African setting, the hotel welcomes you into its adobe-style interiors.
