Introducing the WCA 5-a-Side Soccer Cup |
Display your
volley, tackling and shooting skills or
score a hat trick for your team at our
five-a-side competition.
The WFSA and SASA have partnered to launch a
brand new sports event at WCA - the
Anaesthesiologists World Cup of five-a-side
football.
When you enter a team, you’ll be battling it
out with many other teams that are made up
from all over the globe who will also be
bidding to go all the way to the WCA Soccer
Cup Final.
With just five team members on the pitch at
any one time, the play is sure to be fast
and furious with a spectacular atmosphere to
boot.
You’ll need eight colleagues or friends to
make up a basic five-a-side team, plus three
subs. Five-a-Side Football really is
football fun at it’s very best and so to
encourage fun we’re encouraging women to
take part.
Teams will then battle it out on a knockout
basis through four regional heats with the
top team from each qualifying to compete in
the semi-finals and, possibly, the Final.
The WCA Soccer Cup is the only competition of its kind and is the biggest
and most prestigious football tournament in
the world of anaesthesia. Early registration
is recommended, as the number of teams is
limited due to it being a knockout
competition. |

The entrance fee for
the knockout competition is just €50 per
team with the competition taking place on
the following days Tuesday 4th, Wednesday
5th & Thursday 6th during lunch times and
after the exhibition closes.
